Get the battered burger! Get the battered burger!! Seriously, get the battered burger!!! I give it an 11/10. I came here thinking that everyone just wanted fish and chips because they said it was really good. When I looked at the menu, I decided to try the battered burger in addition to the fish and chips. The first bite into the burger made me literally widen my eyes. I was blown away with the taste. Perhaps I was starving, but every bite into the burger made me smile. Food doesn't usually do that to me. The fish and chips were good, and I give it 10/10, but the burger was just too good for me to be just okay about it. There's one restaurant in Atlanta that I ALWAYS have to stop to eat at when I visit the city because you just don't get it anywhere else. Having the battered burger is exactly the same experience. Now every time I visit Orlando, getting this burger will be my top priority.

Cookes of Dublin is located in Downtown Disney area and they accept the quick service dining plan if you have the Disney dining plan. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but they do have outdoor seating with a small bar as well. It is a fast quick and go eating type of place, so if you're looking for somewhere with a nice view and that you can hangout for awhile, this isn't the place for you. Everyone that works here was nice, professional, and helpful. I'd recommend if you're craving some fried food. Now, as far as the food itself, be literally prepared for FRIED everything. We ordered the fish sandwich, fish and chips, onion rings, and the cole slaw. The fish and chips comes with a big filet of fried fish and French fries. The onion ring batter was HUGE thick cuts of fried onions, but the flavor was pretty good in them. The fish sandwich was pretty good as well, with nice and fresh bread. They put two pieces of fries in the whole thing which was kind of good for me. Overall, the fish in both dishes had good flavor, but everything overall was a bit too heavy for me because everything was fried. I definitely recommend getting their cole slaw though. A nice bite that you need with all that fried-ness. If you're craving some fish and chips or deep fried anything, I recommend Cookes of Dublin for a quick meal while at downtown Disney.

Food was alright I ate her while in downtown Disney because it was one of the only places still open to eat at after 11pm. I ordered the Caesar salad which was already made even though the sign at the register said food is made fresh to order. The salad dressing for the salad was so thick that I had to basically had to use a butter knife to spread the dressing on my salad. My kids ordered the chicken tenders and fries which was good. If you eat here I recommend that you order the fried foods not the salad.

Quick service for pretty good dish under $15. Not as crowded as other places in downtown Disney.

Pretty quick fast food restaurant with an Irish flair. Plenty of UK inspired dishes that are quite tasty. The only reason why I am deducting stars is because it took an exorbitantly long time for us to get our food. The person bringing food out got mixed up and did not deliver our food for over 20 minutes. Pretty unacceptable in terms of fast food times.

We have eaten at the adjoining Raglin Road restaurant, and enjoyed it. But Cookes of Dublin could have been better. We ordered several different dishes between our 7 member family. For the two kids of our group, we ordered Mac and Cheese from the kids menu. The Mac and Cheese came out undercooked. It could have been much better. Taste was ok, but wasn't anything to praise. Kraft does a better job. The deep fried burger was kinda bland. And it tasted oily. Now, I realize that it was deep fried, but the oil taste was too overpowering for the dish. The fish and chips were dry. And frankly, you can get a much tastier fish and chips that isn't dry in England at EPCOT Center. It want all bad. The chicken pie with leeks and mushrooms was pretty good. But that seemed to be the exception. We are not professional food critics, but when you have had good food, you know it. This could have been much better. Our comments were overheard by a couple of employees who at least saw that our daughters didn't eat their Mac and cheese. They offered to get us something else or give us a refund. We declined. We gladly paid for what we ate, and kinda wanted to just be done and continue with our evening, which we did.

Cookes of Dublin is the counter service restaurant for Raglan Road (which is just around the corner) at Downtown Disney. The prices, however, are much cheaper than Raglan Road and very affordable. There aren't too many places to eat at Downtown Disney where the food can be construed as affordable, but this is one of them. I really love the fish and chips here. The fish is so very (not too "fishy") and has the perfect amount of breading. I also really love their chips (fries) and that's saying something because I'm not a huge fan of french fries in general. I get the kid's meal when we come here which is one large piece of fish and a generous amount of fries. A perfect amount for me; although, the hubby usually has to finish my fries. They have a fountain soda machine, which is great because you can get all the refills you want. Once you order at the counter (the line moves quickly), they give you a number to put on your table and they bring your food out to you. They have a ton of outdoor seating, but the one downside to this place is there isn't very much seating indoors. Only a few small round tables which are way too close to one another. So close that if you have social anxiety issues, it's going to be a problem for you. There are also a few small round bar height tables. Unfortunately, the last time we were here, it was raining, so we couldn't sit outside. We did find one of the tables inside empty, but since I do have social anxiety issues, I wasn't comfortable while eating because the people on either side of me were way too close for my liking. I seriously need my personal space! At any rate, we do enjoy eating here when at Downtown Disney. Maybe one of these days we'll venture away from the fish and chips and try something else on the menu. :D

Our first meal at Disney World was at Cookes of Dublin. Located at Downtown Disney, this casual place seemed like a popular place. Ordered fish & chips, hog in a box and sodas. Fish n chips ($10.95): perfectly cooked chips and tasty fish. Too bad they only gave me one piece of Nemo. The tartar sauce complemented the fish nicely. Hog in a box ($11.95): slow roasted pork shoulder with baby potatoes, sage and sweet onion stuffing caramelized onions and apple sauce. The pork was tasty but it was chewy and hard. I loved the pork rinds so much that I actually went back for more. Sodas ($3.50): I got Fanta ginger ale and it was a disappointment. Nathan, the manager, was efficient and super nice. I noticed that the customers after me got their foods while I was still waiting for mine. He took care of my order right away after I asked him to check on my order. QUICK TIP: NO DISNEY ANNUAL PASS DISCOUNT. 3.5 stars Cookes of Dublin is kinda yummylicious!!

So anytime you are at disney you know you will be spending a good amount of money on food which is honestly why I was so surprised by this hidden gem in downtown disney. Located next door to the more expensive restaurant (which is also pretty amazing) this place is my go to for fish n chips. It is a fast food type establishment but each order is cooked fresh (so it will take a few min to get your order) and is great. I have not personally tried anything besides the fish n chips because... hello... its amazing so I can not offer any suggestions to the fish haters out there. I definitely recommend giving this place a try when walking around downtown disney!

Hog in a box.$11.95 tasty and plentyful. The Original One & One (fish n chips) $10.95 Nothing special, just average. First meal here at Downtown Disney. Oh and the pork grinds are tasty! The manager, Nathan was real nice and even took care of a customer argument/fight very prfessionally. Great job!

During the last day of our WDW trip, my mom said that we had to visit the Cookes of Dublin to try their famous fish 'n chips. Besides Yorkshire, this was the other place that was well known for this staple. Though we had dinner plans already, we dropped by the eatery--which was definitely bustling (there was a pretty long line)--to get a few fish 'n chips to share. I also got one of the donut-battered Snickers treat. I guess that was my first actual time trying a deep-fried Snickers bar (though that wasn't the actual name, that's what it basically was!). Cookes is known for their Irish grub that has a long history of family recipes. Some of their most famous entrées include sausages, battered fish, hand-cut chips, beef and lamb pies and Atlantic scallops. The menu at Cookes was definitely intriguing and full of Irish specialties. Because we wanted to explore as much of DTD as we could, we didn't linger long at this eatery -- just enough to order what we wanted and enjoy our snacks outside. If I were to return to Cookes, there's definitely more I would want to try from the menu. Here's what we got, as well as some of the other dishes that were on my radar: "The Original One & One (Fish & Chips)": My family ordered four of these to share among 10 of us, so everyone was able to enjoy a little without getting too full. But every entrée had exactly ONE fish. The fish itself was a decent size, but if I was really hungry and wanted an actual meal, I'm not sure if one of these would have been enough to satisfy me. However, the fish was definitely savory and enjoyable. It didn't taste overly fishy, the interior was soft and tender, and the crust was buttery and flaky. The hand-cut fries were also really good. I would probably order two of these if I wanted the "One & One" for an actual meal ... or at least one of these and maybe dessert! "Doh Bar Donut Battered Snickers": I like Snickers candy bars by itself, but throw that chocolate and caramel mixture in some deep fried dough and you're dealing with an entirely different monster. I could still enjoy the taste of the candy bar, and the exterior batter was light and flaky -- not too dense and heavy. It sported the same kind of texture and consistency as the batter on the fish 'n chips, except this treat was sprinkled lightly with powdered sugar. It was a great treat to try, and I would recommend it if it's your first time at Cookes! "Breaded Chicken Sandwich & Chips": I usually enjoy sandwich entrees wherever I go, and this breaded chicken sandwich sounds like something I would enjoy. It features a hand-breaded chicken filet topped with tomato chutney, greens and herb aioli. I think the only thing that would make this sandwich even better is possibly cheese. I would get my sandwich sans the tomato chutney, but everything else sounds great! Especially that herb aioli. If the chicken is as good as the fish at this place, this entrée would definitely make for a winner, winner chicken (lunch or) dinner! "Fish & Chip Sandwich": If I'm craving my fish 'n chips in sandwich form, this entrée would be my go-to. It features a fish fillet that's hand-battered and fried and served with chips (fries) and the eatery's homemade tartar sauce. Since I definitely liked the fish 'n chips entrée--I can't really tell if it was better than Yorkshire, but I remember enjoying both (it's SO hard to find a good fish 'n chips meal)--I'm sure I would like this sandwich version as well! "Battered Burger & Chips": This hand-battered burger comes topped with garlic mayo, tomato chutney and mixed greens. If I'm hungrier for a more hearty entrée, I would take a chance and try this hand-battered burger. I'm sure it's cooked well and sports a great flavor. I would order mine, though, without the tomato chutney. "Irish Vintage Cheese and Bacon Dip": This appetizer definitely sounds interesting. It made me think of my favorite spinach and artichoke dip app when I first saw it on the menu. Though I don't know what this snack looks like, it has two of my favorite components--cheese and bacon--so I'm sure it must be savory and delicious! It's on my must-try list for sure.

Fantastic! Best food I've eaten since we've been at Disney World. The lamb was cooked to perfection. They carry Kilkenny on tap. The chicken was juicy and delicious. Best of all, the service and dancers were friendly and great. Will definitely return. Great experience.

I was craving fish and chips. This place definitely fulfilled that craving. The employee behind the counter was nice and patient when I couldn't decide how many fish and chips I should order for four adults. We were hungry, but we weren't starving. So, I ordered an adult size and a child size. It was the perfect amount! Mostly because the two guys were drinking beers throughout our Downtown Disney walk. Anyway, the French fries were good. The fish was moist and the breading was crunchy. It was seasoned well, and it made us crave fish and chips even more... which is why we got more at EPCOT (which I think was a bit better than this place)... but they were both delicious!

Fellow yelpers, This is just a fast food version of their other restaurant. Raglan road. For a quick service food restaurant this is a great choice at downtown Disney. Quality food that tastes great and fresh. Friendly service as well. They have a small dine in area and a patio outside seating area as well. The fish and chips are fantastic. If your into soups they usually have a minimum of 2 and they are always delicious! They have a children's menu as well and a small bar if your looking for a adult beverage. All you can drink COKE products and a sauce bar for your toppings. This is a great choice while visiting downtown Disney.. Keep your eyes out for this place because it can be easily passed without notice. Enjoy!!

A-OK! I enjoyed my meal here, but honestly can't justify giving it 4 stars. It was standard fish and chips that I can't say was better or worse than other fish and chips I've had. For $10.95, you are given one large piece of fish, and a basket full of fries. I ended up being pretty full without eating the whole thing. One major plus is that they fry everything to order. Will I eat here again? Yes, because I like fish and chips...not so much that this place gave me exceptional food.

This is a great little place located at Downtown Disney. The fish and chips taste very good. It's not a very big place so if it's busy seating may be limited. There is seating outside, but if it's rainy or cold most people will flock to the indoor area. Also, the inside seating is very close together....so if you mind being close to total strangers while you eat... I suggest waiting outside or at one of the few high top tables. The service is what you'd expect from a quick service style restaurant... You place your order and are given a number to sit at your table (if you have one)... The food comes out pretty quickly and very fresh. This one is definitely worth at least one visit.

The food was pretty good however the the service and the cleanliness of the restaurant is definitely story! The food here wasn't bad however the the girl behind the counter caught an attitude with me because I changed my order before I paid for it....Really?! Because of the limited seating inside, my daughter and I sat outside where the tables were dirty. I asked the bartender for a rag to clean the table. Though the table was finally cleaned, I still had to share our table with the flies...Gross! I don't know if I will ever return here!

This place rocks. My wife and I went here on a recent visit to Disney. We decided to stop by and check out the fish and chips. They were some of the best fish and chips we've ever had. I enjoyed a Guinness beer, they have it on tap, of course. We decided to eat outdoors and "people watch." Man, you have to try this sometime. With all the different cultures and people from all nations that visit Disney, this afternoon was quite entertaining. The service was good. All the employees on duty were attentive. Next time I get a craving for fish and chips, I'll definitely stop here.

Hog in a Box. Just do it. I am considering travelling back to Orlando just to have it again. Seriously the best food in a box that I have ever had in my life.

Outstanding Fish & Chips. Decent quick service for Disney, but service overall is a bit slow. For the record, COD should not be classified as "fast food", When I got in line to order, there were two other parties in line in front of me. It took another 15 minutes until we were able to order. There were probably 10-12 tables that were filled, but it took 20 minutes until our food arrived. When the waiter brought the food, he told us that the fried snickers bar was not ready yet. When we did receive the Snickers bar, I could tell by the time on the receipt that it arrived a total of 34 minutes after we ordered it. As noted by other Yelp reviewers, water cups here are tiny, so we had to take several trips to the drink machine for refills. Soft drinks will set you back $3.50 each. The fish was delicious. A bit greasy, but the batter was very crispy and the fish inside was thick and flaky, Try it with the malt vinegar and the spicy tartar sauce. Both the chips and the Sinckers bar were ok. $11 for the fish and chips. Not bad for Disney prices. Don't visit COD if you are pressed for time. 5 stars for the fish, but 3 for everything else.

In my opinion, relativity is important in Yelp reviews. Akin to the Yorkshire County fish shop at Epcot, Cookes is a massive cut above other Disney quick service options. The fish is the same quality as next door's Raglan Road, and other delicious menu items include battered chicken, sausages, even a battered burger. If you have any even vague interest in fried food, this is the Disney QSR for you at DD.

i was so excited to eat here since i found out they have gluten free batter. you order at the counter and then they bring you your food. there was only one cashier open when we went around dinner time and it took over 10 minutes for us to get up there to order. you would think that they would open up the other register to move the line more quickly seeing that it was busy, but they never did while we were there. we got the fish and chips and scallops gluten free. the food came out quickly and was so disgusting. everything was so greasy that it made me feel sick as soon as i ate it. even the fries were all soggy from all the grease and you could literally see the puddles on the bottom of the tray. i used paper towels to dob off as much grease as i could, but went through so many paper towels, that i ended up eating only the inside of the fried fish. we actually went to eat elsewhere after here since we were still hungry as we were unable to eat most of our food. the customer service was poor and i was not impressed with any of the staff. the cashier seemed grumpy and disengaged. when a staff member brought out my food, i asked where the tartar sauce was, and he seemed put off that i had asked him a question. he rudely told me i had to go back inside to get some. i wouldn't come back here due to 1) the food itself and 2) the customer service

Fish and chips. Very good but pricey. One piece and chips is around $11. Get a second piece for $7. My wife got a pie and it was awesome. My son ate an adult portion it was so good.

You're in Downtown Disney, you're hungry and you didn't make reservations at any restaurant 6 months in advance? Are you nuts?!? Luckily, Cookes of Dublin is here. PROS: Good fish and chips. A little too much breading, but the fish is truly fresh. Overall, No gimmicks, just good old fish and chips. That's saying something's for a Restaurant in Disney. Surprisingly not over priced. And that's saying something's for a Restaurant in Disney. And you can just walk up, order food, and chances are you'll find a table. And that's saying something's for a Restaurant in Disney. CONS: Mostly deep fried food, so hard to find something healthy. They're pretty poor at clearing tables too. Also, the cups they give you for water are a couple inches taller than a thimble. That's lame. PARKING: plenty of parking in the private lot, but traffic to get in and out can be nasty. All-in-all, if you're looking for something quick, that isn't at a snack stand or a Starbucks and tastes good, hit up Cookes.

The food here is always hot, fresh and delicious! I am pretty sure I have had everything on this menu (except the hog in a box I haven't been hungry enough yet) and it all has been GREAT! I love that they have the Irish sauces like HP and Dalky mustard. Their tartar sauce is delicious.

Great for quick service. The lamb pie was great as were the fish and chips although the reason for a lost star was each time we got cold chips (french frys for the America). They have a nice outdoors seating area which sometimes has seats other wise there is a small indoors eating area as well.

Nice place for a quick lunch. We ordered the fish and chips which were pretty good. I highly recommend the mustard they have at the sauce bar. .delish!! There is a bar next door as well so you can enjoy a cocktail or brew with your meal. There is a variety of menu items including meat pues, burgers, salads, chicken and more.

Awesome place to get some good food. I usually order the cheeseburger with fries which is okay. The burger could be seasoned better, and sometimes it is dry. I guess it depends on who is cooking it that day. But lately I have been eating their Grilled Chicken Burger which is downright delicious! The first time I ordered I asked for no tomato chutney, and lo and behold tomato chutney. The amount of fries you get is wonderful, and the fries are real good. The only complaint is the price of the soft drinks. $3.50 really?! But this is Disney so I cannot complain. Will continue eating here!

Great place to grab a quick snack at downtown disney! I always love to get the fresh chips with Parmesan and garlic. Its always made to order and comes to you piping hot, so do be careful! I still haven't had the chance to try the other menu items. There is limited seating inside, but there is a patio with more tables and chairs, along with a bar and sometimes entertainment.

One of my favorite quick service restaurants in all of WDW. The fish and chips are cooked to perfection, the environment is exactly what you would expect in the comfort of an Irish pub just in a tropical setting. Outdoor seating makes for a enjoyable dinner of people watching and weather enjoying.

I have Celiac disease so this is one of my favorite restaurants. They have gluten free fish and chips, onion rings and a few other gluten free items on the menu. The prices are cheaper than Ragland Road, and the environment is casual. My only complaint is the seating is very limited. If you can find a seat you will enjoy yourself.

Scratch my last sentence in my previous review. As of today, Cookes beats Yorkshire County. The price at Yorkshire keeps going up and the portions keep getting smaller. Cookes is now my go-to Fish & Chips quick service spot. Plus they give a DVC discount! The staff is great and the manager is very accommodating!

  • Kitrina D.

This is definitely a better option if you do not want to wait hours to sit down for your food. My boyfriend and I chose this place as it was a better value than most of the surrounding restaurants and had decent reviews. We both had the fish and chips, which were smaller portions that we were anticipating for the value paid. In addition, we waited in line for over a half an hour to place our order and subsequently waited another twenty minutes to receive our food. Because it was so busy and they did not have enough seating there were many tables without enough chairs, and we started our meal by sitting on the ground to eat. It's an okay option in downtown disney, but I definitely wouldn't return unless it was less crowded.

  • Lesa G.

Solid 3.5 rate from hubby and I. Small place but was promised best fish and chips on the disney property. I have no arguments with that as I passed on every fish and chip experience because I knew we'd eat here on our last day in Florida. This eatery is different by any disney quick service standard. You wait in line to place your order which takes forever and then you wait another 20-25 min for your food after they hand you a number. A food runner will deliver your order and apologize for the wait and presto? Why not just make this a sit down restaurant if I have to wait 35-40 min for food. I did like that they had a soda fountain to replenish your empty cups while waiting. Husband got a military discount (-$1.50) on his beer outside. Try and grab a table inside as not all tables outside have shade. Husband loved his battered burger, something new and delicious he said. My fish and chip was sub par. I mean it was deliciously crisp and flakey inside. But I found the fish to be well just fish. No flavor as white fish tends to have. I have had deliciously flavorful fish and chips before trust me people. Chips (fries for all us Americans) you can tell they were made fresh. I like my fries crispy and on the thin side, these were a heavier fry therefore left for a soggy finish. I guess the malt vinegar and tartar saved my dish, but I like my food to be able to stand alone. Husband said he would like to eat here again but with the time we waited and just meh fish and chips I'd pass and maybe try the place in Epcot instead?

We had fish and chips, mushy peas, and curry sauce. Everything was fresh and well prepared. I especially enjoyed the fish which was cooked perfectly crisp battered outside crust with a moist flaky filet inside. They even have mushy peas similar to the mushy peas you get in Dublin.

We got some great stuff here. My boyfriend was inlove with his deep fried burger! CRAZY GOOD. This place also won me over with their fries. They were cooked and seasoned perfectly for me. The menu looked really interesting I am so sad I did not get to try more! We came here as soon as the place opened, so our meals were the only ones being made. However I get the feeling that if I came here when it was busy our food would take forever. Because our two meals alone took 25 minutes to come out. So I would just be aware, try to come here when it is not crowded.

What they're known for: Fish & Chips Small portions and overpriced. The fish is really fresh though! It tastes really good and it is fried in fresh oil. It is such a dinky piece though. Can't get over how expensive it was.... The fries are pretty bland and basic. Nothing special.

Good amazing fast "cheap" ( good burger joint cheap... Cheap for the area cheap not el cheapo cheap lol ) food while in downtown Disney ? Yes please !!!! Ordered the fish and chips and yes !!! Man .... Ordered the garlic fries and ... Another yes !!!!! Had the snicker donut and ... Another hit baby! Solomon ( manager ??? Maybe ) a great guy! Really cool customer service considering the amount of crazy tourist around yelling for food in different idioms lol loved it and will come again for sure !!!

The food was what we expected, but be prepared to wait for it. Extremely slow, from waiting to order to receiving was about 40 minutes and it was not that busy.

Extremely good food! It is a quick service place you order at the register they will give you a number and serve you your food wherever you pick to sit. We ordered the battered burger and cheese burger which were both delicious. Not dry tasting, moist and yummy the bread was a good choice. Fries were made fresh and tasted great as well. We sat outside on a beautiful day slightly windy but overall it was a great place to eat. My boyfriend wanted another burger because it was so delicious

I went there on a Saturday last week with my daughter. We had a 19.12 lunch we shared.(expensive) I did not look at the receipt in detail. I was charged a 100.00!!!! The cashier decided to give himself a $80.88 cent tip. I did not discover this until I looked on my bank statement on Monday. They were contacted immediately and it was corrected with only a sorry it must have been a mistake. Was it??? I have contacted them thru emails and have recieved nothing. This is really sad for business. Never going there again and have spread this to friends , family and facebook.

Don't get the beer battered burger. It's disgusting. The bailey's shake at the bar was delicious. Good beer selection. Fries were like boxed/frozen fries. Clean. Ok customer service.

I came here for a quick dinner. I ordered the Beef and Lamb Pie. The crust was nice and flaky. The meat in the pie tasted good. The fries on the side were ok. The water cup they give you are very small. I had to keep refilling it many times. You just order up front and they give you a number. Then you just find an open table and wait for them to bring you your food. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have a bar outside too.

The food is good but the prep time for it is excruciating. We only ordered 2 "Fish & Chips" but the wait time is 15 minutes to put some fish and fries in a basket. Not sure why the long wait when this is one of their signature foods for St Patricks Day. All the employees seem to be very busy but not sure what they're doing.

My fiancé and I planned to eat here on our first night in Disney and we were really excited about it. I LOVE fish and chips and dipping sauces for fries. I was happy with the food - moderate portion, and some dipping sauces you could try for free in addition to those you have to pay for. I am however, not happy with their service. I had the quick service dining plan which meant I had 2 entrees and 5 snacks available to me for each night I was in DW. When I ordered my fish and chips, I also ordered a dipping sauce and I wanted to pay out of pocket for the sauce (otherwise its counted as a snack credit against your meal plan) The cashier didn't ask me for cash for the sauce and instead handed me back my dining plan card. I assumed I'd need to pay the balance for the sauce upon checking out of my hotel. But upon checking my receipt, I saw the cashier charged the sauce as a snack credit without asking me! This was really annoying but I don't think there was anything I could do at that point. Food is great, just pay attention if you have the dining plan!!

Very fresh and tasty fish and chips, like in Britain. For 10.95$ you get one piece of deep fried fish and a lot of chips. At first, it looks bit small, but it's more then enough as it's very hard to finish the dish. Great option for fast meal.

Was at downtown Disney and I figured the restaurants wouldn't be world class. This ended up being alright. Got a regular fish and chips. While it was good, didn't seem like something I couldn't get anywhere else. Kind of pricey too.

I had eaten here several of times and will continue coming back whenever I visit again. The good is very fresh! Well prepared! And just yummy! Can't go wrong with their fish n' chips! But if you are looking for something light, their grilled salmon wrap is also good. Best fries too!

When I stopped here with my family and ate the Battered Burger for only $11, it was the highlight of my Florida vacation. The burger was expertly crafted with amazing flavors, made fresh to order with fries. This burger was so good, we all ordered one to go for later. Go to this resteraunt and get this burger. You will not regret it.

This place didn't blow my skirt up, but that is partly because of the immense crowd that kept me from getting a seat inside of the restaurant. I ordered my food to-go and had to sit on the ground outside with my toddler to eat. The food itself was OK. I ordered the salmon wrap and felt that it was missing something, perhaps a dipping sauce? I couldn't quite place it, but the flavor was a little lacking. I ordered the kids shrimp and fries basket for my daughter, which she didn't finish eating. The shrimp is more batter than shrimp. If you love fried dough, it may be perfect for you, but I wasn't impressed. All in all, I'm not quite sure why there were so many people there. I imagine it was because all of the good restaurants were already full?

Had the deep fried burger and thought it was really good. The tomato chutney on it was wonderful and the chips were hot and crispy.

The portions are huge! Fish was excellent, fries were only Ok. I'm giving it four stars because a place known for fish and chips should have good fries if nothing else

I love this place! It's a great spot to stop in and get yourself a beer, chat with other Disney travelers and even get a snack! It's outdoor seating with an outdoor bar! The staff is always super nice and they always have a nice selection of beers! The food that you order is the same food from Raglan Road next door, so if it's too crowded at Raglan Road, stop into Cookes and get yourself some fish and chips! You won't be sorry!

Love to get the fish and chips here. But wanted more fish. You can get just fish without chips for $7. Seems expensive but MASS piece of fish. Also the chicken and mushroom pie is delish. However. The fried sausage was definitely a surprise. Very good. They also give 10%off for DVC.

Cookes of Dublin is the 'to-go or 'take-away' extension of the popular Raglan Road Irish Restaurant next door. Reservation are not required (nor taken) and there is no table service. You order from the counter, pick a seat and they will bring you your food. The menu here shares very little in common with their sit down restaurant except for their famous One and One (Fish and Chips). Here you will find mostly fast food items with an Irish touch. Think Irish sausages and Dublin style pies. The food did not disappoint although we had to wait quite a while since everything is made fresh to order. All the fried food came out piping hot, perfectly crispy yet super moist inside. Definitely one of the better place to dine in Downtown Disney.

Fish and Chips: One large piece of cod and thick meaty fries. Finally. Of course it comes with a Disney sized price. At least $5 more than I should be paying for such. Still, it was tasty.

I've lived in Orlando almost all my life and being irises, I frequent the bar of Raglan Road. I do need to ask myself, why the heck have. Never been to their quick service.?! This pace is fantastic! I have been too many times to count in the past two months. The only downside is if you go on a busy night, there isn't much seating but that's what the outdoor bar is for! I highly highly HIGHLY recommend getting the shrimp basket. You get a good amount 13-20 pieces given whoever is giving them out with some fantastic wedge/steak cut fries. All are medium or large sized shrimp and a perfect snack/lunch option to share. Also, we tried the bacon cheddar cheese dip to go with the fries. It had a nice bite to it but doesn't come with fries, something you can honestly and easily make at home but not bad if you're sharing with a group. I've had nothing but wonderful service when I come here. I do need to venture out and try more that juts shrimp and fries but right now, it's to tasty to pass up!

I couldn't manage one more giant meal at Disney World at the tail-end of our visit so we stopped into Cookes of Dublin. The heavenly aroma of fried fish and chips just drew us in. Thank you Cookes for letting us eat the children's plate as we were so full from everything else we had consumed. The fish was fried perfectly with a crunchy batter and the chips were just this side of well-done, which I loved. Easy access and incredibly tasty.

Its not as good as it used to be... I am from England - and I always say I miss 2 things from my homeland - Family and Fish & Chips! I have tried several "Chippies" around the US - New York, DC, California and this was one of my favorites, in fact I would drive over from Tampa specifically to get my fix whenever I was in Florida on Business - until now. My last visit in April - they have changed the 'Chips" and they are now "Fries" - yes there IS a difference - The fish was good, so was the deep fried snickers, but if you to be a proper chippy you need Chips, especially when you are charging $4.95 for them! I don't know how they compare to the Yorkshire Chippy in EPCOT now - in the past I said Cookes was better - if nothing else it is cheaper to go here than Faux Irish Raglan Road.

We had dinner here and what a waste! Everything was bland. I got the lamb pie and I couldn't even finish it. The fish and chips were also awful. I think I could have got the same thing from the grocery store freezer for much much less. The kid burger was the only thing that had any flavor. We'll skip this place next time!

Even though its extremely difficult to get a table on a buzy weekend evening, the fish and chips is worth mentioning. Onion rings and mac and cheese were good too.

Good place to get fish and chips fast, or sit outside and have a drink. Although I prefer the more formal feel of Ragland road, this is a good second choice to make.

This is always a great choice for fish & chips. The fish is always hot, flaky and crisp. The fries are ok. Don't forget to use any discount that you may have. Every little bit helps. Next time I must try the parm fries that are raved about on here. Remember that you can also sit outside.

One of my favorite places to eat at Downtown Disney! After a long day of theme parking, we stopped by to pick up something to take back to the hotel. It really hit the spot & I'm glad we passed up Wolfgang's for this place! I had a chicken sandwich w/ chips- chicken, garlic mayonnaise, chutney, and greens. The combination sounds simple, but the flavors together were winning! Tip: If you do take-out, make sure you double check to make sure you have all of the sauces you need. Hubby ordered a fish & chip sandwich, which we assumed came with tartar sauce, but it didn't. Not sure if they forgot to put it in or we're supposed to take care of that ourselves. Ah well.

Not sure why this place is rated so high. The tables were all nasty and uncleaned, the fries were undercooked (bits were hard, like raw potato), and the meat and lamb pie was bland. On the plus side, they have ginger ale at the soda fountain.

Looking for a reasonable bite to eat at Downtown Disney and every other place was overpriced and way too fancy for a lunch. Cooke's to the rescue! Not a lot of room to sit, but the fish and chips were great and they had some great salads as well. The fried mini sausages were amazingly good. You have to wait a few since they fry to order but it is worth the wait. The "chips" were also good.

The fish & chips pair up well with a chilled beer from Hole in the Wall. Batter was perfectly crisp on the outside, fish warm and tender on the inside. Though, it was missing dipping sauces or perhaps i was supposed to ask for it? Chips were plain & simple, could have been crispier, but it did balance out with the crispy fish. I'll be back to try out the sold out beef and lamb pie next time.

This is my husbands and my go to place in downtown Disney when we are running around trading Vinylmations and shopping. The Irish vintage cheese dip with Bacon is just so good we have to stop every time we are here. We then go outside to the bar and grab two glasses of Magnets and review our goodies from the day. Food and drinks are good, albeit a bit over priced, and the interior is a nice break from the sun and heat. The place is usually a bit dirty, the chairs are broken, and the workers not all too friendly, except for the bar outside which the bartenders are always nice I find.

Excellent food is always piping hot and fresh. Fast service but limited seating so be prepared for a wait. We enjoyed everything we ordered, and would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. We're Irish so we know what fish and chips should taste like! :-)

My wife and I first ate here in Feb of 2012. We found Kitty's just randomly while walking around Downtown Disney. Being fans of all things Irish, we thought we would try it out. To be honest. I went in thinking it would just be a typical touristy cliche' place and was even more suspicious after spotting the painting of Bono on the back wall (even though U2 is my fav band). We were quickly seated by a super friendly host and were treated extremely well by our waitress. She never let our drinks get below 1/3 empty the whole time. The food was absolutely incredible. I choose fish and chips - which is kind of like my dish to order to see if they can really cook, as it's easy to make as I greasy failure. Honestly, this was the best fish and chips I've had outside of England. It was high on flavour and light on grease. My wife enjoyed the chicken wrap. Our drinks were perfect as well. Perfectly poured brew. We will be going back every time we are in town.

This was a my midnight snack after evening shopping at the premium outlets, i decided to walk over to downtown Disney to purchase candy and souvenirs. Finally when i was done with the shopping, I ordered fish and chips from Cookes of Dublin. The fish was very tender, warm, fresh and just amazing. However the french fries was just ordinary without salt or any seasoning. The service was great, pretty much in and out in less than 10 minutes as I was expecting to walk back to home before midnight.

I came here with my girlfriend and her sister. We ordered a chicken pie, chicken cesar wrap and a burger. My girlfriends sister was in line before us so she ordered first. Her food came out about 10 or 15 minutes before ours. She got the chicken pie and said it was really bland. My chicken cesar wrap came and it wasn't that good either. My girlfriend got a burger and described it as "ick" so I guess that sums it up. The fries were nice and crunchy. It was very clean even though they were pretty busy.

This place was a huge mistake. I had lunch here two years ago and didn't think it was anything special. I gave it another try tonight since the wait for Raglan Road next door was 1hr and I was hungry. I got take out fish and chips. There was more batter than fish and it was overcooked. The chips were french fries and they were undercooked. Never again.

Cookes of Dublin is good. Prices are kinda steap and seating is very limited, but overall the food is GREAT! The food is fresh & hot, unlike a fast food place. My daughter ordered chicken strips and fries and she loved them. They came out hot, took awhile for her to eat them as they were so hot. Fries were not over done & yet not underdone at all, perfect. I had there famous Fish & Chips. YUMMY!!! Fish was one big filet (wish there was more then one) and it was wonderful. My partner ordered the Chicken sandwich & she was in heaven. Crunchy on the outside, not over cooked at all & nice & moist on the inside. This is one place we will continue going back too.

Agree with another rater. The ratings are way too high for this place. Had the battered burger which was mediocre at best. It didn't settle well at all. My girlfriend ate the Cobb salad with chicken and ranch dressing. The salad came without the dressing so we had to wait for the server to get some. The egg on the salad was overcooked and much of the lettuce was brown and soggy. I tasted the chicken which she only tried two pieces of and it had a very strange flavor. Sure enough, four-five hours later she's bent over the hotel toilet and twenty minutes later I had to run to the public hotel bathroom. I'm mad I spent the last of my cash on laxatives and ipecac. Btw, the food took almost 40 minutes to come out.

My husband and I had the quick service meal plan option with our Disney vacation. The Cookes of Dublin is an option that is included in that meal plan, which worked out well for us. My husband had the fish & chips and enjoyed it. I had the battered burger & I highly recommend it. I occasionally treat myself to indulgent food, but this takes the cake. It is a battered burger, deep fried and served on an artisan bun with a great chutney sauce. It was so delicious - words can't express. It was so good my husband & I came back two days later to order it again.

  • This counter service restaurant is next door to Raglan Road, and serves fish and chips style food! There is a little seating area outside. We visited at lunch, and it was not too busy at all, and the service was very quick. I had battered sausages and chips - they were delicious! The food was very tasty, and not too greasy for that type of food. You get lovely views of T-Rex from the outdoor seating!
